Admissions

Mount Academy is a secondary day and boarding school for grades 9 through 12.

Students are not screened for academic ability, although parents are advised that Mount Academy does not provide special education services.

Mount Academy application process and deadlines

The deadlines to apply for the 2025-2026 school year have passed.

Families that wish to apply to Mount Academy for the 2026-2027 school year will be asked to complete the following:

Please attend our October 2026 Open House to meet staff and students, and for an introduction to our campus and programs. Check our website’s Events tab in the fall for more information, and to register.
- If this is not possible for your family, please contact the Mount Academy Admissions Office.
Submit an online application, which only takes a few minutes to complete.
- Deadline: January 1, 2026
- During the application you will be required to:
  - Upload your child’s most recent school transcript/report card.
  - Upload your child’s most recent IEP, 504, and other evaluations, if applicable.
  - Choose three available dates for your child to attend a shadow day at Mount Academy.
After receiving your application, we will:
- Contact you to confirm a shadow day, and to provide more information about it.
- Schedule an interview with both parents and the student.
- Require at least two letters of recommendation from previous or current teachers.
All steps must be completed by February 28, 2026.
Early March 2026: The Admissions Team will notify all applicants of their decision.

Additionally, families are always welcome to attend arts, music, athletic events, etc. listed on the school calendar.
